Trudeau’s Liberals cry racism over anti-racism message

Brian opens the show talking about how Trudeau’s Liberals have taken race and identity politics to the next level and abandoned MLK’s vision of people judged by the content of their character rather than the colour of their skin. They want it to be all about race.
Also on the show, Brian throws an Ontario PC candidate out of his studio for refusing to answer a simple question and use the air time as his own advertisement. Phil Gurski on terrorists wanting to live in Canada after they are caught elsewhere. Chad Hallman on foreign interference in the election. Megan Shaw on Mulroney’s latest event. Hartley Lefton on the PC voting system and challenges. All that and listener calls.

Remember, you can listen to Brian Lilley live on Newstalk 580 CFRA from anywhere in the world. Listen at CFRA.com or on the iHeart Radio app. The show airs Monday to Friday from 7-10pm ET.

  1. Brian, I’m so glad you booted Jeremy Roberts out of your studio for dodging your question.

It especially rubbed me the wrong way when Jeremy tried to deflect your question by saying that as conservatives we needed to stick together, as you were continuing to turn up the heat on him.

That attitude cannot be accepted as the norm, and I think as conservatives and Canadians, we need to hold true to our values of honesty and integrity. We cannot let ourselves become so wrapped up in our disgust for Wynne and Trudeau that we let this kind of behavior stand in our own party. Just because someone is on our side of the political spectrum, doesn’t exempt them from being scrutinized.

I can’t thank you enough for you and your studio’s excellent standard of journalism. In the age of information wars and untruth, a man who doesn’t think twice when it comes to extracting the truth from a politician is a rare sight.

As a younger conservative, I haven’t been exposed to classical journalism, where the truth is the most important thing to the journalist. Your show gives me a glimpse of what it must have been like in the age where people actually respected journalists.

    Keep up the excellent work.
    Your fan,

    Curtis Dunfee
